November 18, 2023, will be the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador, a nation renowned for its vivacious culture, stunning landscapes, and alluring beauty.
With nine wins overall, the United States has the most winners. When Miriam Jacqueline Stevenson won the competition in 1954, it did so for the first time.
Then came triumphs in 1956, 1960, 1967, 1980, 1995, 1997, 2012, and 2022 for the United States. Olivia Frances Culpo became victorious in the 2012 competition, and R’Bonney Gabriel spearheaded the attempt to end the drought in January of this year. The Miss Universe 2022 competition was postponed, avoiding conflict with the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The second-most Miss Universe winners are from Venezuela
Venezuela has won the second-most Miss Universe pageants, with a total of seven victories. The South American nation won the pageant in 1979, 1981, 1986, 1996, 2008, and 2009. María Gabriela Iser was the participant the last time, which was in 2013.
The only nation to produce multiple beauty queens is Venezuela, and in 2009, Dayana Sabrina Mendoza had the privilege of naming her fellow countrywoman Stefanía Fernández Miss Universe.

The only other Spanish woman to have won the Miss Universe title in 1974 is Amparo Munoz, a model from Malaga. Athenea Perez is one of the favorites this year.
