When and How to Watch the Finale of Loki Season 2 Episode 6 Thus far

This week marks the last week of Loki’s second season on Disney+, and it’s been quite the ride.

Even though the second season of Marvel’s Loki has been fantastic thus far, it’s almost over! This week, Disney+ will host the much-awaited finale. However, we are unsure if this will be the final episode featuring the former God of Mischief. The show’s creative team has stated that season two will conclude in a way that is quite definitive, and there has been no discussion of a third season in the works.

Having said that, the plot of this season has given Loki a lot of new opportunities going forward. It started where the first season finale left off, with Loki “time-slipping” into the TVA’s past, present, and future. Along the process, he strengthened his bonds with Mobius, Casey, and Hunter B-15 and gained a new friend named OB.

Throughout the season, the group has been working to prevent the temporal loom of He Who Remains from melting. This machine at the center of the TVA fought to weave together all the new branched timelines and keep them alive when Sylvie murdered, He Who Remains and restarted the multiverse at the end of season one. Furthermore, TVA supporters set out to bomb every one of them because they thought the loom was never intended to keep them alive.

The two gods had different ideas on how to address the situation: Loki was certain that the TVA needed to be preserved in order to protect the multiverse from future versions of He Who Remains, while Sylvie was certain that the TVA was no longer needed.

They both experienced epiphanies in the penultimate episode when they realized that new timelines simply died as a result of the TVA’s temporal meltdown, something neither of them had desired. Though his initial motivation for trying to save the TVA was self-interest, Loki came to understand that he actually had a new and more “glorious purpose.” He was able to travel across time and space at will, effectively rewriting reality to alter events such as the TVA collapse, once he eventually gained control over his time-slipping.

When Will Episode 6 of Loki Be Released?

On Thursday, November 9 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, viewers in the US can see Loki episode 6, and on Friday, November 10 at 2 a.m. BST, viewers in the UK can watch it as well.

What to Look for in Episode 6 of Loki

The conclusion of episode five hinted that Loki would attempt to avert the temporal loom meltdown at the TVA in the season two finale by travelling back in time to a moment before the catastrophe. This implies that he also went back in time to a time when B-15, Mobius, OB, and Casey were all still at the TVA and had no idea who they were prior to being removed from their timelines. Will Loki warn them of the lives they might one day return to?

We were also reminded that everything that Loki and Sylvie achieved in season one was made possible by He Who Remains in the recap that opened episode five. Has he been trying to outsmart Loki by using his knowledge of everything that has ever occurred and everything that will happen to play 5D chess with him this entire time?

When Hunter X-5 chopped off the evil Ravonna Renslayer, the second-in-command of He Who Remains, in episode four, Miss Minutes was reactivated. Could the two still thwart Loki’s scheme to save the TVA?

Rumour has it that Mobius M. Mobius, the TVA analyst played by Owen Wilson, will play a significant role in the upcoming Deadpool 3 film. Will the conclusion of Loki pave the way for X-Men’s MCU debut?

Will Loki, the God of Stories, ultimately find a new home in the cosmos, much like he did in the pages of Marvel Comics? And does that mean that he will always be the strongest character in the MCU?

We’re hopeful that the Loki season two finale this week will provide answers to all of these queries and more!
