- A Day of Remembrance at Hangar Flight Museum
What: Celebrate Remembrance Day with an open-air event at the Hangar Flight Museum in Calgary.
When: Nov. 11 doors open at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony, which will be livestreamed on CTVNewsCalgary.ca, is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. We expect to have everyone seated by 10:15 a.m. Donations for the Veterans Association Food Bank are welcome.

- Day of Remembrance @ Studio Bell
What: The National Music Center’s Studio Bell is the venue for Remembrance Day celebrations.
When: November 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Central Alberta Chamber Players, renowned bagpiper Bill Hawes, and singer-songwriter Steve Jevne will perform at a special ceremony at 10:40 a.m.
Where: 850 Fourth St. S.E., Studio Bell.
Cost: Studio Bell tickets range in price, but veterans and active military personnel get in free.
- Memorial Day Celebration at The Military Museums
What: The Military Museums will commemorate Remembrance Day. Facebook will stream the ceremony live for those who are unable to attend in person.
When: On November 11, the ceremony starts at 10:30 a.m. The museum welcomes visitors at noon following the service.

- Day of Remembrance at the Crosses Field
What: Attend the Field of Crosses memorial in Calgary to observe Remembrance Day.
When: November 11 at 10:10 a.m.

- Shania Twain performance
What: The Saddledome will host a performance by Canadian country music icon Shania Twain.
When: At 7:30 p.m.
Where: 555 Saddledome Rise S.E., Scotiabank Saddledome.

- Mackenzie Porter concert
What: Canadian country music artist Mackenzie Porter takes the stage at Commonwealth in the beltline of Calgary.
When: The show begins at 8 p.m., doors open at 7 p.m.
Where: 731 10 Ave. S.W., the Commonwealth Bar and Stage.

- Come by Taboo
What: Billed as Canada’s top adult-themed show, Taboo is a “everything to do with sex” program.
When: Nov. 10 from 5 p.m. to midnight, Nov. 11 from 1 p.m. to midnight, and Nov. 12 from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: 20 Roundup Way S.E., the BMO Centre.

- The Millarville Holiday Market
What: Visit the 2023 Millarville Christmas Market to get a head start on your Christmas shopping. Food trucks, holiday merchants, reindeer, and Santa picture opportunities will all be there.
When: On November 9–12.

Cost: $6 general admission, free for children under 12; tickets must be reserved in advance.
- Attend an Elves and the Shoemaker performance
What: Families with children can attend a presentation of Elves and the Shoemaker at Loose Moose. The show is geared toward children ages four to ten.
When: Nov. 5–26, 1 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 and 3 p.m. on Sundays.

- European Film Festival in Calgary
What: Attend the 12th annual Calgary European Film Festival to see the best new films that Europe has to offer.
